The EAVI team were pleased to be invited to the annual Yellow Technology social event on 24th September to demo some of the prototype technologies developed here at Goldsmiths Digital. We showed the Haptic Wave, and some RapidMix technologies, and were joined by Bruno Zamborlin, inventor of Mogees. Mogees is a musical device developed during Bruno’s PhD research with EAVI. We are proud to announce that Mogees will be launched for public sale this week, well done Bruno! More info: http://mogees.co.uk/

Yellow Technology are leaders in audio installations, working with the EAVI and SONICS groups for the installation of the 12 channel sound system used in the Sonics Immersive Media Lab. The event saw some of the UK’s leading composers, music technologists and retailers coming together to discuss the rapid pace of the changing market in virtual instrument design, making it the perfect place to introduce RapidMix.

ROLI (SME partners in the RapidMix project), launched their SeaBoard Rise Controller, and Spitfire Audio gave a keynote about the virtual instruments and sample libraries they design, popular amongst BBC composers, including Emmy award-winner John Lunn (Downton Abbey) who gave an anecdotal keynote about his compositional process and use of technologies.

The evening was topped by the specially branded Yellow Tech cupcakes! Thanks to Pete Eaglesfield and Yellow Technology team for the invitation.
